Structural Engineer – Technical Sales Representative2
2The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated and highly analytical engineer. Primary responsibilities involve pursuing new business opportunities. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the individual must have the ability to work independently in an effort to develop the position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research and pursue new business opportunities as a member of UCAN’s sales team
- Regular presentations to large engineering firms and specifiers to grow brand recognition and sales
- Technical support to engineers, customers and sales representatives
- Define customer requirements and suggest appropriate fastener
- Perform other related tasks, as required
Qualifications
- Degree in civil engineering, preferably structural specialty
- Previous industry experience and registered or eligible for registration with Provincial Engineering Associations
- Previous experience as a Sales/ Customer Service Representative an asset
- Clean drivers abstract
- Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision
- Ready to assume responsibility quickly
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
